Toarlyn Fitzpatrick led four players in double figures with 17 points as South Florida rolled to a 68-55 victory over visiting Florida Atlantic on Saturday.

Ron Anderson Jr. added 14 points for the Bulls (5-2), who reasserted their dominance in the series after suffering their first-ever loss to the Owls last December. South Florida has won 12 of the 13 meetings, including nine of 10 at home.

The Bulls hardly looked like a team picked to finish last in the Big East while cruising to a wire-to-wire victory over the defending Sun Belt conference champions.

Omari Grier scored 20 points for Florida Atlantic (3-4), which had its two-game winning streak snapped. The Owls shot just 36 percent (20-of-56). Meanwhile, South Florida hasn’t missed a beat without star forward Augustus Gilchrist, who has sat out the last two games with a shoulder injury.

Gilchrist was the only player to average double figures for the Bull last season. This year, South Florida appears to have more balance. Fitzpatrick scored 10 points in the first half and Victor Rudd scored all nine of his first-half points during a 22-5 run that gave South Florida a 39-23 halftime lead.

The Bulls opened the second half on a 6-0 run and led by as many as 16 points, after which the Owls never got the margin closer than nine.
