Iman Shumpert scored 24 points and Maurice Miller added 20 as visiting Georgia Tech hammered Wake Forest 80-54 in a battle of the cellar-dwellers of the ACC Thursday night.

The Yellow Jackets (12-17, 4-11 ACC) erased a five-point deficit midway through the first half and cruised the rest of the way. Georgia Tech used a 15-0 run to build a 28-18 lead and led 35-28 at the break.

Georgia Tech then opened the second half on an 18-3 run to put the game away.

The Yellow Jackets dominated the game on the boards 42-23 and were 8 for 19 from 3-point range. Jason Morris chipped in with 13 points.

Wake Forest (8-22, 1-14 ACC) lost for the ninth straight time. The Demon Deacons were paced by Gary Clark with 15 points and Travis McKie added 11.
