Malcolm Thomas had 15 points and 11 rebounds, and No. 9 San Diego State rebounded from its nationally televised loss to Brigham Young with an 85-58 victory at Wyoming on Tuesday.

Kawhi Leonard had 12 points and nine rebounds for the Aztecs (28-2, 13-2 Mountain West), whose 80-67 loss to then-No. 7 BYU on Saturday snapped a seven-game winning streak. Brian Carlwell scored a season-high 15 points with eight rebounds, and D.J. Gay added 11 points.

Desmar Jackson scored 16 for Wyoming (10-19, 3-12), which trailed 37-30 at halftime. Amath M’Baye, who averaged 21 points in his last five games, finished with eight against the Aztecs. Wyoming’s lone senior, center Djibril Thiam, had 13 points in his final home game.

San Diego State entered the game 6-24 all-time in Laramie, including losses in two straight and five of the last seven. The Aztecs finished the first half on a 22-5 run, and held a double-digit lead for the entire second half.

Wyoming, which had won both its home games since coach Heath Schroyer was fired on Feb. 7, shot 27 percent from the field in the first half.
