Freeman paced a balanced Georgetown attack with 14 points while Clark and Julian Vaughn added 12 points apiece. The Hoyas finished with 20 assists on their 24 field goals.

Syracuse (20-5, 7-5) was led by Kris Joseph's 14 points, while C.J. Fair contributed 12 points in relief of Rick Jackson, who missed much of the second half with foul trouble.
