Tai Wesley scored a game-high 22 points and No. 21 Utah State rolled to a convincing 77-49 victory over visiting Boise State on Saturday.

Utah State (22-2, 11-0 Western Athletic Conference) stretched its winning streak to 17 consecutive games, third longest in the nation behind Ohio State (23) and Coastal Carolina (20).

The Aggies shot 64.3 percent from the field while running their homecourt winning streak to 28 games.

Ryan Watkins scored a team-high 11 points for Boise State (12-11, 5-6). The Broncos have lost four straight and six of seven.

Wesley was 8 for 11 from the field, and made all six of his free-throw attempts for the Aggies. Brockeith Pane and Pooh Williams added 10 points apiece.

Utah State broke the game open with a 15-0 run after Boise State scored the game’s first two points. The Aggies hit their first eight shots and led 43-21 at halftime.

The lead reached 30 with 16:57 left when Nate Bendall hit two free throws to give Utah State a 54-24 lead.

Boise State is winless in 17 visits to Utah’s State raucous Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
