Led by a season-high 20 points from sophomore Kevin Parrom, Arizona opened Pac-10 Conference play on the right note Thursday with a convincing 76-57 victory over Oregon in Eugene.

Parrom, who entered the game averaging 6.4 points per game, came off the bench and instantly went to work. He hit three straight 3-pointers over a three minute span to give the Wildcats a 20-9 lead. Arizona would take a 37-22 halftime lead.

Jeremy Jacob scored a team-high 17 points for the Ducks, who could never close to within single digits in the second half.

Derrick Williams added 12 points and seven rebounds for the Wildcats, followed by 11 from Solomon Hill. Overall, Arizona posted a dominating 40-25 rebounding edge in the victory.

The Wildcats (12-2, 1-0) will take a four-game winning streak to Oregon State on Sunday night, while Oregon (7-6,0-1) will host Arizona State on Saturday.
