No. 10 Georgetown bounced back from its first loss of the season with a 89-60 rout of Appalachian State Sunday in Washington, D.C.

The Hoyas (9-1, 0-0 Big East) lost a tight game at Temple Thursday, but had little trouble with the over-matched Mountaineers (3-4, 1-1 Southern).
Georgetown built a nine-point halftime lead and opened the second half with an 18-6 run to put the game away.

Jason Clark led the Hoyas with 15 points, and Austin Freeman added 15.

Appalachian State's Donald Sims, the nation's second leading scorer, was held to 14 points on 4-of-14 shooting. Sims entered the game averaging 27 points per game.

The win also featured the debut of touted Hoya freshman Moses Ayegba, who was ruled ineligible for the first nine games after accepting a plane ticket purchased by someone outside his family. Ayegba finished with four points.

The Hoyas have the week off before hosting Loyola-Maryland Saturday. They'll travel to No. 14 Memphis on Dec. 23, before opening Big East play at No. 23 Notre Dame on Dec. 23.
