A strong second-half run lifted Oregon State to an 84-74 victory over Howard University in a non-conference game played before President Barack Obama at Washington. D.C.

Oregon State coach Craig Robinson is Obama's brother-in-law.

Four players scored in double figures for the Beavers, who used a 17-2 run in the second half to break a 33-32 halftime deficit.

Senior forward Omari Johnson had 17 points and eight rebounds, and Jared Cunningham and Joe Burton scored 15 apiece for the Beavers (3-2).

Anton Dickerson scored a game-high 24 points, including six 3-pointers, and Gary Lawrence had 11 points and 11 rebounds off the bench for the Bison (1-5).

Up next for the Beavers is a Wednesday home game against Utah Valley. The Bison will look to snap a five-game losing streak at William & Mary the same day.
