Jonathan Kuminga scored at least 20 points for the eighth consecutive game and the Golden State Warriors opened a five-game trip with a 121-101 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.

Kuminga had a game-high 29 points and Brandin Podziemski added a season-high 14 assists for the Warriors, helping spoil the return of the Grizzlies' Derrick Rose, who had been out since Jan. 2 with a hamstring injury.

Rose finished with 12 points and four assists in 16 minutes off the bench for Memphis, an injury-ravaged club that was enduring the second night of a back-to-back.

Kuminga, who didn't score in the first quarter as the Warriors struggled to build a 24-23, scored 15 points in the second quarter as Golden State led by as many as 13 points.

The Warriors led 57-47 after the first half as they held the Grizzlies to 34.8 percent shooting from the floor.

Stephen Curry finished the game with 20 points and Klay Thompson added 14 for Golden State, which was playing the opener of a back-to-back set. The Warriors visit Atlanta on Saturday.

Draymond Green added nine points, 12 rebounds, six assists and three blocks.

Podziemski added 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench, while Lester Quinones, who played three seasons at the University of Memphis, added 10 points and six rebounds in 19 minutes.

Quinones, helping fill the void left by Chris Paul's broken hand, had totaled just 27 points and 12 rebounds in his first 10 games this season.

Jaren Jackson Jr. had a team-high 27 points for the Grizzlies, who went winless on their three-game homestand and have lost four in a row.

John Konchar had 12 rebounds for Memphis, while David Roddy and Jacob Gilyard had 16 points apiece and Vince Williams Jr. added 15.
