Malcolm Brogdon had 26 points and Caris LeVert finished with 25 points to lead the shorthanded Indiana Pacers to a 115-109 comeback win at home against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night.

Brogdon hit a pair of free throws with 1.4 seconds left to seal the win after LeVert collected his seventh rebound following a missed driving layup by Detroit's Cory Joseph.

Indiana (28-31) won its second consecutive game overall and at home and pulled to within one game behind the Charlotte Hornets for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Pacers were still missing several key players: Myles Turner (right toe plantar plate tear), Domantas Sabonis (sore lower back), Goga Bitadze (ankle) and Jeremy Lamb (knee).

Things became more challenging inside for Indiana after Jakarr Sampson fouled out with 6:22 left in the fourth quarter after only scoring three points.

Indiana trailed 101-97 with 4:55 left in the fourth, but the Pistons missed their next seven shots from the field and the Pacers used a 12-0 run to retake the lead for good.

Jerami Grant led the Pistons with 25 points, adding five rebounds and four assists and Mason Plumlee totaled 17 points and 21 rebounds as Detroit outrebounded Indiana 62-39 and still lost.

The Pistons (18-43) lost their third game in a row and suffered their NBA-worst 27th road defeat.

Isaiah Stewart finished with 13 points while Joseph and Josh Jackson each had 12 points. Saddiq Bey finished with eight points and 10 rebounds, but shot just 2-for-14 from the field.

Edmond Sumner added to Indiana's collective and resilient effort with a season-high 22 points, which also matched a career scoring high. Doug McDermott also had 18 points and Oshae Brissett, starting once again, totaled 11 points and 11 rebounds.

The Pacers trailed by as many as eight midway through the third quarter before going on a 15-3 run to retake the lead.

Dennis Smith Jr. (sore left knee) and Rodney McGruder (right elbow sprain) were unavailable for the Pistons.
