Kemba Walker and Jeremy Lamb scored 23 points apiece, and the Charlotte Hornets kept their playoff hopes alive with a 124-97 victory over the host Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.

The Hornets led by 12 points in the first half and then pushed the lead all the way to 27 in the fourth quarter, winning their fourth straight and eighth in their last 11 games. They hit a season-high 22 3-pointers on 44 attempts and shot 57.7 percent from the field.

With the win and the Detroit Pistons' victory over Memphis, the Hornets (39-42) remained ninth in the Eastern Conference, one game behind the Pistons. The Hornets need to beat the Orlando Magic at home on Wednesday and have the Pistons lose to the Knicks at New York in order to leapfrog Detroit for the final playoff spot. The Hornets swept four games from the Pistons this season and hold the tiebreaker advantage.

Miles Bridges and Dwayne Bacon added 18 points apiece for the Hornets. Frank Kaminsky scored 14 and Devonte Graham had 10.

The Hornets were without Cody Zeller, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Shelvin Mack, plus Marvin Williams and Tony Parker suited up but did not play.

The Cavs (19-63) ended their season on a 10-game losing streak. They finished with the second-worst record in the NBA.

Collin Sexton led the Cavs with 18 points. Cedi Osman scored 17, Jordan Clarkson scored 16, Larry Nance Jr. had 10 points and 12 rebounds, and Channing Frye closed out his career with 10.

The Hornets led 33-31 after the first quarter, hitting six 3-pointers in the first six minutes while taking a 23-11 lead. Charlotte then led by as many as 10 again in the second quarter and led 64-56 at halftime, then 90-75 after three quarters. The 27-point margin to end the game was Charlotte's biggest lead of the night.
