LeBron James scored 21 of his 28 points in the second half as visiting Cleveland came from behind to win its third straight.

J.R. Smith hit 7-of-9 3-pointers en route to 23 points for the Cavaliers, who remained three games ahead of Toronto for second place in the Eastern Conference. Kyrie Irving scored 20 points and handed out seven assists while Timofey Mozgov and Iman Shumpert each chipped in 10 points for Cleveland.

Each starter reached double figures for the Bucks, led by Michael Carter-Williams' 19 points. Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo had 15 points apiece while Ersan Ilyasova added 14 for Milwaukee, which has dropped six straight and remains 1 1/2 games up on Miami for sixth place in the East.

The Bucks led by a point after one quarter and held the Cavaliers to 31.8 percent shooting in the second to claim a 53-44 lead at the break. Kevin Love's 3-pointer got Cleveland within three points early in the third and James had six points and an assist in an 8-0 run to close the quarter and give Cleveland a 75-73 advantage.

James threw down a dunk and followed it up with two free throws and a 3-pointer for an 84-76 advantage with eight minutes to go. Smith then buried three straight triples in less than two minutes to push the margin to 93-78, and an alley-oop from Smith to James with under four minutes left helped seal it.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bucks C John Henson was whistled for a technical foul for arguing a call early in the second quarter and Mozgov picked up one of his own later in the period. ... James also had 10 rebounds, six assists and five of Cleveland's 14 steals. ... The Cavaliers were 13-of-31 from 3-point range, while Milwaukee was 3-of-12.
