Thunder 113, Timberwolves 99: Russell Westbrook had 29 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds in his sixth triple-double in eight games as Oklahoma City registered its 11th consecutive home victory over Minnesota.

Enes Kanter had 23 points and 15 rebounds and Anthony Morrow added 13 points as the Thunder moved into a tie with the New Orleans Pelicans for eighth place in the Western Conference. Mitch McGary and Dion Waiters had 12 points apiece for Oklahoma City, which hit all 14 of its free-throw attempts.

Gorgui Dieng had 21 points and 14 rebounds for the Timberwolves, who suffered their 50th loss of the season. Andrew Wiggins scored 19 points and Justin Hamilton had 17 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double.

Minnesota was within seven points with seven minutes remaining before the Thunder went on a 9-1 run with D.J. Augustin knocking down a 3-pointer to make it 98-83 with 6:11 left. Westbrook scored the next 10 Oklahoma City points – including a four-point play with 3:31 remaining – and the Thunder cruised to the finish.

Oklahoma City led by 11 points early in the second quarter before the Timberwolves ran off 12 straight to take a one-point lead on Ricky Rubio’s basket with 6:01 left, but the Thunder closed with an 11-4 burst to hold a 55-49 lead at the break. A basket by Kanter capped a 9-0 run in the third to give Oklahoma City a 13-point lead but Minnesota finished strong to trail 79-72 entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kanter had nine of Oklahoma City’s 19 offensive rebounds as the Thunder posted a 48-42 edge on the boards. … Minnesota C Nikola Pekovic (ankle) and PF Kevin Garnett (knee) both sat out the contest. … The Thunder were 11-of-24 from 3-point range.
