Knicks 101, Lakers 94: Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 22 points and made five 3-pointers as visiting New York defeated Los Angeles to end a five-game losing streak.

Andrea Bargnani had 16 points and Alexey Shved contributed 14 points, a season-high 11 rebounds and six assists for the Knicks, who were 9-of-18 from 3-point range. Langston Galloway added 12 points as New York halted a seven-game losing streak at Los Angeles.

Jordan Hill had 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers, who drop to 5-22 over their last 27 games. Jeremy Lin added 14 points and seven assists while Carlos Boozer, Jordan Clarkson and Wayne Ellington had 11 points apiece.

Los Angeles trailed by five after Boozer’s basket with 9:23 remaining before New York rolled off an 11-2 run and took a 96-82 lead on Hardaway’s layup. Ellington buried a 3-pointer for the Lakers to end the Knicks’ surge and Clarkson also knocked down a 3-pointer as Los Angeles scored nine straight points to pull within 96-91 but couldn’t get closer than four.

New York was 6-of-11 from 3-point range in the first half en route to a 60-54 lead. The Knicks led by as many as 12 points in the third quarter before settling for an 80-74 lead entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hardaway missed the previous two games and was 0-of-9 from the field the last time he played. … Los Angeles collected 15 offensive rebounds while possessing a 51-33 edge on the boards. … The Knicks committed just eight turnovers.
