Lakers 100, Jazz 97:
Rookie guard Jordan Clarkson scored a season-high 22 points as Los Angeles ended an 11-game road losing streak.

Jordan Hill added 16 points off the bench and Wayne Ellington had 15 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double for the Lakers, who were without Nick Young (knee) and Ronnie Price (elbow surgery). Carlos Boozer contributed 14 points and a season-high three steals and Ed Davis finished with 12 points and nine rebounds in a reserve role.

Gordon Hayward scored 20 points, Derrick Favors had 18 and rookie shooting guard Elijah Millsap finished with a season-high 17 points off the bench for the Jazz, who were trying for their first three-game winning streak in more than a year. Rudy Gobert matched his career high with 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for Utah.

The Jazz took their biggest lead at 82-69 on Millsap’s basket with 11:15 left in the game, but the Lakers didn’t raise the white flag, instead coming back with a 10-0 run that gave them their first lead of the game at 90-88 with 4:01 remaining. The Lakers twice inched ahead by three and Gobert missed a chance to cut into the deficit when he missed 3-of-4 free throws.

Hill made two free throws with 18.7 seconds left to extend the lead to four and Ellington made two more with nine seconds on the clock to keep the lead at four. Hill made an ill-advised foul that led to a three-point play by Favors with two seconds left, but Robert Sacre made two free throws on the other end to push the lead back to three and Hayward’s 3 at the buzzer left his hand too late.
