Evan Turner tallied 10 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists for his first career triple double and host Boston used a 3-point barrage to pull away from New York.

Jonas Jerebko contributed 20 points - two shy of his career high - and four 3-pointers in his Celtics debut as Boston won its fourth straight home contest to remain on the fringe of a postseason berth. Isaiah Thomas added 19 points, seven assists and six rebounds in his home debut and fellow reserve Jae Crowder recorded 18 points, six rebounds and four assists for the Celtics.

Andrea Bargnani scored 17 points off the bench for the Knicks, who have lost eight straight. Jason Smith chipped in 14 points and 10 rebounds, but New York shot 2-of-21 from behind the arc in being outscored by 36 points.

Boston scored 20 unanswered points bridging the third and fourth quarters to turn a one-point deficit into a 91-72 lead with 9:19 remaining. Twelve of those points came on consecutive 3-pointers - two by Marcus Smart and one apiece from Jerebko and Crowder.

Crowder, Jerebko and Thomas each connected from beyond the arc in a span of 1:17 to push the lead to 105-81 with 4:54 remaining. Jerebko added a layup and another shot from beyond the arc to cap his big night as Boston won for just the second time in the last six when the Knicks have visited.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Neither team could muster a lead bigger than four points in the first half as Thomas and Bargnani scored nine each as New York took a 49-48 lead at intermission. … With 26 games remaining, New York needs to win 11 to avoid setting a club record for fewest wins (21 in 1962-63 and 1960-61) in a season. … Boston tied a season high with 14 3-pointers in 31 attempts.
