Mavericks 99, Raptors 92: Monta Ellis scored 20 points as Dallas rallied in the second half to complete a 3-0 homestand.
Dirk Nowitzki had 18 points and nine rebounds while Devin Harris produced 14 points and four steals off the bench for the Mavericks, who improved to 20-5 against the Eastern Conference. J.J. Barea had 13 points in a reserve role while Al-Farouq Aminu had nine points, a season high-tying 12 rebounds and two blocked shots for Dallas.
DeMar DeRozan led Toronto with 18 points and Greivis Vasquez hit all three of his 3-point tries en route to 14. Kyle Lowry chipped in 11 points and a game-high six assists for the Raptors, who finished off a four-game road trip with three straight losses.
DeRozan scored twice in a 16-4 second-quarter run as Toronto claimed a 55-49 halftime lead, shooting 53.3 percent from the field. It was still a six-point margin late in the third before Harris fueled a 6-0 burst to forge a 71-71 tie.
Barea's 3-pointer early in the fourth gave Dallas its first lead since the first quarter and he buried another with 7:31 to go for an 89-84 advantage. The bulge reached double digits with a pullup jumper by Ellis with just over five minutes left and the Raptors never pulled any closer than seven points down the stretch.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Raptors PF Patrick Patterson (knee) returned from a one-game layoff to score 12 points. ... Mavericks SF Chandler Parsons (ankle) missed his second straight game. ... Nowitzki surpassed Hakeem Olajuwon and moved into 16th place on the all-time minutes played list.
