Bulls 87, Bucks 71:
Pau Gasol and Nikola Mirotic each recorded a double-double as Chicago dominated the glass and coasted past visiting Milwaukee.

Gasol collected 15 points and 10 rebounds, Tony Snell scored 18 of his 20 points off the bench in the first half and Mirotic added 16 points and a season-high 14 boards in a reserve role as the Bulls improved to 2-0 on their seven-game homestand. Joakim Noah grabbed 16 rebounds and Jimmy Butler recorded 11 points and nine boards as Chicago built up a 62-41 advantage on the glass.

Ersan Ilyasova had 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Bucks, who have dropped two straight after taking nine of the previous 10. Khris Middleton scored 17 and Giannis Antetokounmpo added 11 as Milwaukee struggled to 33.7 percent from the field.

Snell bookended a 25-7 run bridging the first and second quarter with a pair of 3-pointers to put the Bulls in front 37-19. Chicago claimed a 37-17 rebounding advantage in the first 24 minutes and went into the break with a 48-33 cushion.

Gasol’s jumper early in the third stretched the lead to 21 points, and his free throw with 3:53 left in the period spread the gap to 63-41. The Bucks closed the third with an 8-1 burst but never threatened down the stretch, and Mirotic’s 3-pointer with 3:50 to play made it 84-63 as Chicago put it away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Gasol has recorded a double-double in 21 of his last 24 games. … Chicago G Derrick Rose went 1-of-13 from the field and is 8-of-34 in three games since the All-Star break. … Milwaukee G Michael Carter-Williams (toe), who was acquired at Thursday’s trade deadline, has yet to make his team debut and remains day-to-day.
