Trail Blazers 102, Lakers 86:
Wesley Matthews led the way with 20 points as host Portland handed Los Angeles its franchise-record 11th straight road loss.

LaMarcus Aldridge struggled to 18 points on 6-of-20 shooting but added 12 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who head into the All-Star break winners of four of their last five. Damian Lillard contributed 15 points and eight assists while Meyers Leonard scored 11 off the bench for Portland.

Jordan Clarkson scored 17 points for the Lakers, who have dropped six straight and 15 of their last 16 games. Wayne Ellington added 16 points and eight rebounds while Wesley Johnson and Robert Sacre scored 12 apiece for Los Angeles.

Matthews scored eight points in the first 5 1/2 minutes as the Trail Blazers jumped out to an 18-11 lead and never trailed. The advantage was 32-24 at the end of the first quarter and reached 11 points several times in the second before Portland settled for a 54-46 lead at the break.

Matthews and Lillard combined on a 9-0 run that made it 67-50 just over four minutes into the third, and Aldridge’s jumper pushed the advantage to 23 with 2:45 left in the period. Leonard knocked down a pair of 3-pointers to thwart any Lakers attempt at a rally in the fourth as the bench closed it out.
