Grizzlies 95, Nets 86: Zach Randolph scored 19 points and pulled down eight rebounds as Memphis downed Brooklyn to earn its seventh straight home victory.
Courtney Lee added 15 points while Marc Gasol collected 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who have won 10 of their last 11. Beno Udrih tallied 13 points off the bench and fellow reserve Tony Allen had 12 on 5-of-5 shooting for Memphis.
Mason Plumlee produced 15 points and 14 rebounds while Alan Anderson also scored 15 for the Nets, who have dropped three straight. Jarrett Jack and Brook Lopez scored 12 points apiece and Joe Johnson had 11 for Brooklyn, which couldn't overcome 20 turnovers.
Lee connected from beyond the arc to put the Grizzlies on top 71-51 and they led by as many as 22 before Jack sparked an 11-2 run to end the third quarter and pull the Nets within 75-62. Anderson buried a 3-pointer to close the gap to single digits before Randolph scored at the rim and drained a 3-pointer to give Memphis an 88-71 lead it would not relinquish.
Gasol and Allen scored six points apiece as part of a 16-4 run to put the Grizzlies in front 32-13 late in the first quarter before Deron Williams knocked down a jumper and a 3-pointer on consecutive trips to trim the deficit to 11 just past the midway point of the second. Memphis forced 11 turnovers in the first half to take a 52-40 lead into intermission and Lee scored eight straight points, including a 3-pointer and three-point play, to put the Grizzlies back in control at 60-41.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Grizzlies have won seven straight games against Eastern Conference opponents. … Jack limped off the court late in the third quarter with a leg injury and did not return. … Brooklyn coach Lionel Hollins, who patrolled the sidelines for Memphis from 2009 to 2013, was recognized with a video tribute before the game.
