Paul Millsap scored 20 points to lead six players in double figures as host Atlanta ran its franchise-record winning streak to 16 games.

Al Horford put up 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting and Jeff Teague added 15 points and seven assists for the Hawks, who have won 30 of their last 32. DeMarre Carroll contributed 14 points, Kyle Korver added 13 and Dennis Schroder chipped in 11 off the bench as Atlanta matched the franchise record for wins in a month by improving to 14-0 in January.

Thaddeus Young collected 26 points, seven assists and six rebounds to lead the Timberwolves, who have dropped four straight and 20 of 22. Mo Williams tallied 20 points, seven boards and six assists and Nikola Pekovic returned to the starting lineup to score 15 points as Minnesota lost its 12th straight road game against Atlanta.

Minnesota hung around throughout the second half, pulling within eight on several occasions before an Andrew Wiggins bucket cut it to 98-92 with 5:16 to play. Young scored to make it a six-point game at the three-minute mark, but Carroll and Korver hit triples on consecutive trips to stretch it to 108-96, and the Timberwolves didn't threaten again.

The Hawks shot 60.5 percent in the first half to take a 61-47 halftime lead. Atlanta scored the first eight points of the second quarter to gain some separation and had the lead as large as 18 after back-to-back 3-pointers from Carroll and Millsap before Minnesota trimmed the margin to 14 at the break.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Hawks' 16-game winning streak is the longest by any major professional sports team in Atlanta history, surpassing the Braves' 15-game streak in 2000. … Minnesota used its 15th different starting lineup this season. … The Hawks improved to 32-1 overall and 16-0 at home when leading after three quarters.
