Spurs 99, Lakers 85:
Tony Parker scored 17 points and Kawhi Leonard contributed 15 and 14 rebounds as host San Antonio defeated Los Angeles.

Manu Ginobili scored 15 points off the bench and Tim Duncan added 14 and seven rebounds for the Spurs, who have won seven of their last nine games. Tiago Splitter collected 11 rebounds and San Antonio possessed a 52-40 edge on the boards.

Nick Young scored 17 points for the Lakers, who lost their seventh consecutive game on the same day they learned Kobe Bryant’s shoulder injury was worse than feared. Jordan Clarkson and Wayne Ellington added 11 points apiece and Carlos Boozer and Jordan Hill each scored 10.

The Lakers moved within 76-66 on Wesley Johnson’s basket with 10:07 to play before San Antonio ran off the next seven points with Patty Mills’ 3-pointer making it 83-66 with 9:07 remaining. The Spurs never allowed Los Angeles to make another run while improving to 16-6 at home.

San Antonio was ahead 25-8 with 2:30 left in the first quarter and the lead reached 23 points midway through the second quarter. The Spurs led 56-38 at the break and Parker scored seven points in the third quarter as San Antonio took a 76-61 lead into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Doctors found a significant tear in the rotator cuff of Bryant, who is weighing whether or not to undergo surgery. … Spurs SG Danny Green had just seven points to score in single digits for the third consecutive game. … Los Angeles dropped to 6-17 on the road.
