Pelicans 95, Raptors 93: Tyreke Evans scored 26 points - including the game-winning layup in heavy traffic with 1.6 seconds left - as visiting New Orleans snapped a six-game skid against Toronto.

Alexis Ajinca added 22 points and six rebounds in a reserve role for the Pelicans, who were missing Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday because of injuries. Eric Gordon contributed 14 points and five assists while Omer Asik recorded 11 points and nine rebounds for New Orleans, which beat the Raptors for the first time since Jan. 17, 2011.

DeMar DeRozan led the way with 22 points and Lou Williams tallied 17 in a reserve role for Toronto, which has dropped seven of its last nine games. Greivis Vasquez collected 16 points and nine assists while Amir Johnson added 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting to go along with 10 rebounds for the Raptors.

DeRozan nailed a jumper to end a field-goal drought of over six minutes to even the score at 91 before Gordon scored at the rim to put the Pelicans on top by two with 55 seconds remaining. DeRozan sank two clutch free throws to tie the game at 93 and set the stage for Evans' late heroics.

New Orleans led 50-36 at intermission and by as much as 16 in the third quarter before DeRozan scored nine points and Vasquez had eight as part of a 19-4 surge to put the Raptors in front 65-60. Patrick Patterson connected from beyond the arc to give the Raptors their biggest lead of the game at 76-64 before Gordon later converted a three-point play during a 9-0 burst to pull the Pelicans within 87-85.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Pelicans survived a 12-of-20 performance from the free-throw line while the Raptors finished 24-of-29. … Holiday missed his third straight game with ankle inflammation while Davis sat out his second in a row with a sprained left toe. … Toronto could not overcome a season low for points in the first quarter (14) and in the first half (36).
