Spurs 110, Trail Blazers 96: Kawhi Leonard scored nine of his 20 points in the fourth quarter in his return from a hand injury and Danny Green made four 3-pointers and had 19 points as host San Antonio routed Portland.

Patty Mills added 18 points and Tony Parker contributed 17 points and seven assists for the Spurs, who were 11-of-29 from 3-point range and had a 49-32 rebounding edge. Manu Ginobili had 13 points and seven assists and Tim Duncan added 11 points and 12 rebounds

LaMarcus Aldridge had 24 points and eight rebounds and Damian Lillard scored 23 points for the Trail Blazers. C.J. McCollum added 17 points and fellow reserve Meyers Leonard chipped in 12.

Kawhi Leonard’s three-point play gave the Spurs a 100-81 lead with 8:48 remaining and he scored four straight points a short time later to make it a 23-point margin with 6:16 remaining. Portland was unable to cut the deficit under 20 points until Will Barton’s dunk with 3:34 remaining as San Antonio defeated the Trail Blazers for the first time in three meetings this season.

A four-point play by Green gave the Spurs a 12-point lead with 6:05 left in the first half and San Antonio settled for a 60-52 lead at the break. Mills’ 3-pointer gave the Spurs an 18-point advantage with 1:49 left in the third quarter before San Antonio took a 91-79 lead into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kawhi Leonard missed the previous 15 games due to his injury. … Lillard missed all five of his 3-point attempts and the Trail Blazers were 6-of-19 overall. … The Spurs had 12 steals with Ginobili and Kawhi Leonard recording three apiece.
