Clippers 114, Lakers 89: Blake Griffin had 27 points, nine rebounds, eight assists and three steals as the host Clippers annihilated the Lakers in Los Angeles.

Chris Paul contributed 24 points, 11 assists and three steals and Matt Barnes scored 19 points as the Clippers defeated the Lakers for the ninth time in 11 meetings. DeAndre Jordan had 10 points, 13 rebounds and three blocked shots and J.J. Redick scored 10 points for the Clippers, who committed just six turnovers.

Jordan Clarkson scored 14 points and Wayne Ellington and Jordan Hill tallied 13 apiece for the Lakers, who were 5-of-20 from 3-point range. Kobe Bryant had just four points on 2-of-12 shooting and committed six turnovers.

The Clippers led 70-48 at halftime and opened the third quarter with a 12-2 burst and led by as many as 37 before taking a 99-63 lead into the final stanza. The Clippers scored the first seven of the fourth quarter to push the lead to 43 before the Lakers trimmed their margin of defeat significantly over the final five minutes.

The Clippers led by as many as 14 points in the opening quarter before leading 34-24 at its conclusion. They shot 57.8 percent in the half to sail into the break with a 22-point lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lakers SF Nick Young was just 4-of-15 shooting while scoring 11 points. … Barnes made five 3-pointers and Paul connected on four as the Clippers were 12-of-33 from behind the arc. … The Lakers were just 10-of-17 from the free-throw line.
