Hornets 98, Pelicans 94: Kemba Walker scored 31 points, including the go-ahead three-point play with 1.4 seconds left, as Charlotte erased a double-digit deficit to down visiting New Orleans.

Gerald Henderson added 16 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Hornets, who have won three straight games after losing their previous five. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist contributed 13 points and 12 rebounds while Brian Roberts scored 10 points off the bench for Charlotte.

Anthony Davis collected 32 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots for the Pelicans, who couldn't survive a 16-of-24 performance from the foul line. Jrue Holiday recorded 16 points, nine assists and six rebounds while Eric Gordon tallied 14 points for New Orleans.

Jason Maxiell sparked a 12-3 spurt to put the Hornets in front 90-82 with 4:11 remaining before Davis scored five straight points and Gordon drilled a clutch 3-pointer to even the score at 90 with 1:59 remaining. Davis scored over Cody Zeller to tie the game at 94 with 18 seconds left to set the stage for Walker's late heroics.

Davis converted a three-point play as part of a 10-2 run to end the first quarter to put the Pelicans on top 27-20 before Walker scored the last six points of the second stanza for the Hornets to trim the deficit to 48-41. Gordon connected from beyond the arc to give New Orleans its biggest lead of the game at 66-53 before Henderson scored eights points during a 10-0 burst to trim the deficit to three.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Hornets went 4-of-14 from 3-point range while Pelicans finished 6-of-18 . … Walker has scored 30 or more points in three straight games for the first time in his career. … Davis recorded his NBA-leading 21st double-double of the season.
