Grizzlies 95, Spurs 87: Mike Conley poured in 30 points to go with seven rebounds and six assists as Memphis topped visiting San Antonio.

Marc Gasol collected 17 points and nine rebounds for the Grizzlies, who have won two straight following a four-game skid. Tayshaun Prince added 12 points off the bench for Memphis.

Marco Belinelli and Cory Joseph scored 18 points apiece for the Spurs, who were without leading scorer Tony Parker (hamstring) and defensive whiz Kawhi Leonard (hand). Patty Mills added 10 points off the bench and Tim Duncan had nine points and 10 rebounds as San Antonio dropped its fourth straight road game and lost for the seventh time in nine games overall.

The Spurs fought back from a 16-point deficit and were within nine on six occasions in the third quarter before going to the fourth down 74-63. Back-to-back buckets from Duncan cut it to 80-77 with 5:52 remaining before Gasol and Prince hit jumpers and Conley added a pair of free throws and a 3-pointer to stretch the lead back to double digits with 3:10 to go.

Conley hit his first seven shots and scored 16 points in the first quarter, helping the Grizzlies build a 10-point lead after one period. Memphis pushed the margin to 39-23 on Quincy Pondexter's 3-pointer with 6:13 left in the half, and Pondexter connected from outside again to send the Grizzlies to the break with a 52-38 advantage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Memphis PF Zach Randolph missed his fifth consecutive game, but an MRI on his injured knee revealed no structural damage. … The Spurs drop to 7-10 in December, their most losses in a month since March 1997. … Duncan finished one point shy of his 814th career double-double, which would have tied him with Karl Malone for fifth all-time.
