Hawks 105, Mavericks 102: Dennis Schroder scored a career-high 22 points and Kyle Korver added 18 as visiting Atlanta knocked off Dallas.

Al Horford added 17 points and DeMarre Carroll tallied 15 for the Hawks. Paul Millsap contributed 13 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists as Atlanta won its fourth straight and 13th in 14 games.

Monta Ellis had 18 points, Dirk Nowitzki scored 16 and Tyson Chandler collected 19 rebounds for the Mavericks, who had a three-game winning streak halted. Rajon Rondo had 13 points and 11 assists in his second game since being acquired from the Boston Celtics.

The Mavericks trailed by 19 entering the fourth quarter and moved within 94-85 on two free throws by Nowitzki with 3:29 to play. Charlie Villanueva connected on back-to-back 3-pointers to pull Dallas within 102-97 with 28.4 seconds to play but the comeback fell short.

Atlanta led by as many as 16 in the first half and held a 52-38 edge at the break. The lead reached as many as 24 in the third quarter before the Hawks took an 82-63 advantage into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Korver’s franchise-record for consecutive free throws ended at 50. … Villanueva made four 3-pointers and scored 14 points. … Hawks PG Jeff Teague (hamstring) missed his third straight game.
