Pistons 105, Suns 103: Andre Drummond had 23 points and 14 rebounds as visiting Detroit ended a 13-game losing streak, one shy of the franchise record.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 14 points while Josh Smith finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Pistons. Greg Monroe had 12 points and eight rebounds and Jodie Meeks scored 12 off the bench in his Detroit debut.

Goran Dragic scored 18 points while Markieff Morris had 17 points and eight rebounds to lead the Suns, who have lost four straight for the first time since November of last season. Eric Bledsoe added 16 points and P.J. Tucker matched his season high with 16 for Phoenix.

Smith missed two free throws with 20 seconds left, leaving Detroit’s lead at three points. Phoenix elected to go for a quick layup, the Pistons shot 3-for-4 from the line in the last eight seconds and then turned the ball over on a long inbounds pass as time expired.

Neither team led by more than three in the final quarter until Drummond’s layup made it 97-93 with 3:31 left. Tucker had two steals from Brandon Jennings in final 2:38, and Meeks checked in for Jennings after the second turnover and assisted on Caldwell-Pope’s 3-pointer for a three-point lead with 1:13 left before forcing a turnover on Tucker with 40 seconds on the clock.
