Raptors 112, Nuggets 107 (OT): Lou Williams scored five of his 26 points during a 10-0 run in overtime to help Toronto hold off visiting Denver.

Jonas Valanciunas collected 18 points and 12 rebounds while Patrick Patterson buried five 3-pointers en route to 19 points for the Raptors, who got 3-pointers from Williams and Terrence Ross during the decisive run in the extra period. Ross finished with 16 points and Kyle Lowry added 13 points and 13 assists for Toronto.

Arron Afflalo scored 25 points and Ty Lawson contributed 22 points and 12 assists for the Nuggets, who have dropped four straight. Wilson Chandler had 18 points and Timofey Mozgov chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds for Denver, which took the lead on Chandler’s 3-pointer to start overtime but went the next four-plus minutes without scoring.

Ross’ jumper brought the Raptors within 92-91 with 5:18 left but Lawson got free for a pair of layups and Toronto went nearly three minutes without a field goal before Patterson knocked down a corner 3-pointer to cut it back to 98-96 with 2:19 remaining. Patterson’s next 3-pointer tied it at 102 with 28.3 seconds to play and the Nuggets were forced into a shot-clock violation before Lowry’s deep 3-pointer was off the mark at the end of regulation.

The Raptors shot 61.1 percent from the field in the first half and led by as much as 17 points before settling for a 62-52 lead at the break. Toronto pushed the advantage back to 16 points early in the third before Afflalo got hot and helped the Nuggets cut it to 82-81 heading to the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Raptors snapped a streak of 10 straight overtime losses at home. … Nuggets G Nate Robinson (back), F Kenneth Faried (back) and C JaVale McGee (leg) each missed his second straight game. … Toronto F Amir Johnson left the game briefly to have his ankle re-taped and did not start the second half before playing most of the fourth quarter and overtime.
