Pelicans 112, Thunder 104: Tyreke Evans scored 15 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter as host New Orleans spoiled Kevin Durant's season debut for Oklahoma City.

Durant, the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player and four-time scoring champ, finished with 27 points in his comeback from a broken foot suffered in October, but the Pelicans used a 40-point second quarter to seize control and held on down the stretch. Anthony Davis had 25 points, 10 rebounds and a career high-tying six steals while Ryan Anderson scored 23 points and grabbed a season-high 11 boards for New Orleans, which broke a three-game slide.

Russell Westbrook scored 21 points in his second game back from a broken hand and Reggie Jackson recorded 17 off the bench for the Thunder. Jeremy Lamb chipped in 15 as Oklahoma City had its two-game winning streak snapped.

Westbrook's two free throws tied it at 43 midway through the second quarter before the Pelicans erupted for 26 points in just over five minutes of play - the last five by Davis - to claim a 69-52 halftime lead. The margin was 18 points with under three minutes left in the third, but Lamb's jumper sparked an 18-5 burst that carried into the fourth quarter and pulled the Thunder within five.

A Kendrick Perkins technical foul gave Davis a foul shot that began a decisive push for New Orleans, which received five straight layups by Evans during the run to go up 103-87 with five minutes left. Durant had four baskets down the stretch, including a 3-pointer, to help cut the deficit to single digits but Oklahoma City never pulled any closer than the final margin.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Durant was scheduled to play about 30 minutes and finished with exactly that. ... New Orleans has won two straight meetings after losing 10 in a row to Oklahoma City. ... Pelicans PG Jrue Holiday finished with 16 points and 10 assists.
