Kings 103, Bulls 88: DeMarcus Cousins had 22 points and 14 rebounds and Rudy Gay added 20 points as host Sacramento dispatched Chicago.

Darren Collison contributed 17 points and 12 assists as the Kings handed the Bulls their first road loss in seven games. Omri Casspi scored 14 points and Ben McLemore added 11 for Sacramento.

Jimmy Butler had 23 points and eight rebounds for Chicago, which played without point guard Derrick Rose (hamstring) and forward Pau Gasol (calf). Aaron Brooks, Mike Dunleavy and Taj Gibson each scored 12 points and Joakim Noah had 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Bulls were within 92-84 after Butler’s basket with 4:28 remaining before Gay (three) and Cousins (four) combined for all the points in a 7-2 run that pushed the lead back to 13. The Kings allowed only two points in the final three minutes while finishing off the victory.

Chicago led by nine in the opening minute of the second quarter but the Kings were 12-of-19 shooting in the period to take a 52-47 lead at the break. An 11-2 burst capped by Collison’s layup gave Sacramento a 15-point lead with 2:17 left in the third quarter and the advantage was 80-68 entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The double-double was Cousins’ ninth of the season. … Butler has put together four consecutive 20-point outings and is averaging 24.5 points during the stretch. … Casspi was 5-of-5 from the field and hit all four free-throw attempts.
