Hawks 91, Knicks 85: Paul Millsap scored 19 points and Dennis Schroder scored 12 of his career-high 14 in the fourth quarter as visiting Atlanta handed New York its fifth straight loss.

Kyle Korver added 17 points and eight rebounds and Al Horford scored 12 for the Hawks, who earned their first road win while completing a home-and-home sweep of the Knicks. DeMarre Carroll grabbed 10 rebounds to go along with nine points for Atlanta, which went 27-of-28 from the free-throw line.

Carmelo Anthony collected 25 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as New York dropped to 2-6. Iman Shumpert added 18 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. scored 15 for the Knicks, who struggled to 6-of-26 from beyond the arc

Anthony’s jumper with 2:51 to play drew New York within 75-74, but the Hawks scored twice around Anthony’s turnover and made it an 81-74 gap on Schroder’s layup with 59 seconds remaining. Hardaway’s layup with 26 seconds left pulled the Knicks within five but the Hawks closed it out at the line.

Atlanta got a pair of 3-pointers from Millsap and one from Korver during an 11-0 burst to grab a 53-49 lead midway through the third quarter. The Hawks pushed the lead to as much as seven points before the Knicks bridged the third and fourth with a 6-0 run to pull within 64-63 with 11:06 to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Anthony went 11-of-25 from the floor and is shooting 33.9 percent during the losing streak. … Knicks G Pablo Prigioni (ankle) returned from a two-game absence and scored three points in 22 minutes off the bench. … Korver (1,530) moved past Nick Van Exel and into 20th place on the all-time NBA list for made 3-pointers.
