Derrick Favors collected 16 points and 12 rebounds and Enes Kanter added 14 and 11 for Utah, which has won 16 of the last 18 meetings with Detroit. Alec Burks also scored 14 and Joe Ingles added 10 off the bench as the Jazz picked up their first road win.

Greg Monroe racked up 19 points and 11 rebounds and Andre Drummond added 11 points and 18 boards for the Pistons, who had a two-game winning streak snapped. Jennings scored a game-high 23 points and Josh Smith had 13 and nine rebounds for Detroit, which managed only 17 points in the fourth quarter.

Jennings scored 14 during the third quarter, including eight straight in the midst of an 11-3 run that gave Detroit some separation after being tied at halftime. The Pistons had the lead as big as nine at several points but couldn't put away Utah, as the Jazz chipped away and Hayward caught fire, scoring 10 straight Utah points over the final 4:46.

Utah led 27-21 after one period and had the margin as wide as 10 early in the second before Detroit heated up and stormed back. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope hit a pair of 3-pointers in the final 1:35 of the half, including one that forged a tie at 50, and Smith knocked down a 22-footer to send it to the break knotted at 52.
