Clippers 106, Trail Blazers 102: J.J. Redick scored nine of his 30 points in the fourth quarter as Los Angeles rallied from a 14-point second-quarter deficit to defeat visiting Portland.

Blake Griffin added 23 points and Chris Paul finished with 22 points and 11 assists for the Clippers. Jamal Crawford stepped into the starting lineup in place of Matt Barnes and scored 20 points and DeAndre Jordan contributed six points, 14 rebounds and five steals for Los Angeles.

Damian Lillard had 25 points and eight assists to lead the Trail Blazers. LaMarcus Aldridge finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds, Robin Lopez scored 19 points and Wesley Matthews 14 for Portland.

Lillard scored nine straight points for the Trail Blazers to pull them back within two with 1:09 left after they trailed by nine with 2:25 remaining. He had a chance to give Portland the lead but missed a rushed 3-pointer with 14 seconds still remaining on the shot clock and 41 on the game clock, and Paul and Crawford made free throws in the final seconds to seal the win.

The Clippers took their first lead and extended it to 77-71 with a 14-0 run in the third quarter, during which Portland missed eight consecutive field goal-attempts. The score was knotted at 79 to start the fourth but Griffin, who had missed 10 straight field-goal attempts at that point, scored the first four points of the fourth quarter on back-to-back baskets and Redick followed with nine points in just under three minutes to extend the advantage to eight with 5:33 left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Redick, who shot 11-for-13, scored at least 30 points for the fourth time in his career, coming up three points shy of his career high. … Portland C Chris Kaman shot 4-for-5 and scored eight points, leaving him 12 for his last 13 from the field overall. … Clippers F Glen Davis made his season debut after missing the first five games with a groin injury and went scoreless in nine minutes.
