Warriors 95, Trail Blazers 90: Klay Thompson scored 29 points and visiting Golden State scored the game’s final seven points to topple Portland.

Stephen Curry added 21 points, six assists and five rebounds for the Warriors, who are off to their first 3-0 start since the 1994-95 season. Leandro Barbosa contributed 13 points off the bench, including nine in the fourth quarter.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 26 points and 13 rebounds to lead Portland (1-2). Wesley Matthews added 18 points and Robin Lopez finished with 12 and 10 rebounds for the Trail Blazers.

Thompson, who scored a career-high 41 points in Saturday's win against the Lakers, sank a jump hook in the lane with 8.9 seconds on the clock to give the Warriors a 91-90 lead. Golden State knocked the ball away from Aldridge on the ensuing inbounds pass and Curry made two free throws with 4.5 seconds left before he stole another inbounds pass and made two more free throws to seal the win.

Neither team led by more than two points in the fourth quarter until Aldridge made a 21-footer to give Portland an 82-79 lead with 5:06 left in the game. Golden State's Andre Iguodala sank a free throw with 26.3 seconds left, but his second attempt rattled out to keep the Trail Blazers up by one before an out-of-bounds replay on the ensuing trip down the floor awarded the ball back to Golden State with 14.5 seconds left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Portland PG Damian Lillard scored 11 points on 4-for-18 shooting, dropping him to 11-for-41 on the season. … Trail Blazers SF Nicolas Batum scored five points on 2-for-7 shooting, leaving him at 10-for-29 through the same span. … Aldridge scored 10 straight points for Portland after re-entering the game with 5:37 left but his basket with two minutes remaining were the final points for the Trail Blazers.
