Heat 87, Pacers 83:
Dwyane Wade scored 23 points and LeBron James added 22 points, seven rebounds, six assists and three blocked shots as visiting Miami evened the Eastern Conference finals at a game apiece.

James and Wade combined for 22 points in the fourth quarter and Norris Cole chipped in 11 off the bench for the Heat. Chris Andersen hauled in 12 rebounds for Miami, which will host Game 3 on Saturday.

Lance Stephenson recorded 25 points, seven assists and six rebounds and Roy Hibbert contributed 12 points and 13 boards for the Indiana. Paul George scored 14 points but was held to 4-of-16 from the field while David West struggled to 5-of-16.

George’s 3-pointer with 7:8 left gave the Pacers a 73-69 lead but James responded with a 3-pointer to begin a personal string of nine straight points for the Heat before Wade scored four in a row to cap a 13-2 run. George split a pair of free throws with 40 seconds remaining to pull Indiana within 84-78 but James found Wade for a dunk on the other end as Miami put it away.

The Heat took a 41-33 lead late in the second before the Pacers scored the final four points to cut it to a four-point gap at the break. Indiana managed a seven-point cushion with 2:06 left in the third but back-to-back 3-pointers from Chris Bosh and Norris Cole cut it to 63-62 heading to the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Indiana F Evan Turner (strep throat) was reportedly available but did not get into the contest after also missing Game 1. … The Pacers went 10-of-15 from the free-throw line after hitting 29-of-37 from the stripe in Game 1. … Miami switched up its lineup by starting F Udonis Haslem, who collected seven points and three rebounds in 19 minutes.
