Spurs 104, Trail Blazers 82:
Danny Green and Kawhi Leonard led the way with 22 points apiece as host San Antonio cruised past Portland to clinch a 4-1 win in the Western Conference semifinals.

Patty Mills scored 18 points off the bench after coming in for Tony Parker, who left with a hamstring injury early in the second quarter. Tim Duncan collected 16 points and eight rebounds for the Spurs, who will take on the Los Angeles Clippers or Oklahoma City Thunder in the West finals.

LaMarcus Aldridge recorded 21 points and 10 rebounds and Damian Lillard contributed 17 points and 10 assists for the Trail Blazers. Nicolas Batum had 10 points and 12 boards and Wesley Matthews scored 14 points as Portland failed to force a Game 6.

Leonard hit a pair of 3-pointers in a 13-2 burst that gave San Antonio a 45-30 lead with 4:24 left in the second quarter before the Spurs settled for a 51-44 gap at the break. Duncan scored five as San Antonio opened the third quarter with another 13-2 spurt to spread the lead to 18 points.

The Trail Blazers cut the deficit to 12 points late in the third but Mills’ jumper made it a 14-point lead entering the fourth and the Spurs started the final stanza with another run, stretching it out to 88-65 on Green’s 3-pointer with 9:07 to play. Marco Belinelli’s free throws extended it to 95-67 as San Antonio coasted.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Parker was questionable to return to the game but was not needed in the second half and is considered day-to-day moving forward. … The Spurs are heading to their third straight Western Conference finals after falling to Oklahoma City in 2012 and beating the Memphis Grizzlies last season. … Portland committed 18 turnovers, leading to 20 points for San Antonio.
