Nuggets 100, Warriors 99: Kenneth Faried hit a go-ahead turnaround in the lane with 0.5 seconds left and Timofey Mozgov recorded a career and NBA season-high 29 rebounds to go along a career high-tying 23 points as Denver stunned host Golden State.

Stephen Curry collected 24 points, seven rebounds and six assists but came up just short on a desperation heave at the end for the Warriors, who missed a chance to clinch a playoff berth. The Nuggets took their first lead 83-80 on Darrell Arthur’s 3-pointer with 7:52 left and extended it to a five-point advantage on Evan Fournier’s jumper midway through the fourth. Denver was up 97-93 when Curry went to work, hitting four free throws before grabbing a rebound and taking it all the way for a floater in the lane and a 99-98 lead with 4.7 seconds left.

The Warriors built up a 28-15 lead after the first quarter and pushed the edge to 20 points in the second before settling for a 53-43 advantage at the break. Curry’s layup gave Golden State a 65-51 edge with nine minutes left in the third before the Nuggets fought back and closed within 75-73 heading into the fourth.
