Heat 110, Pistons 78:
LeBron James recorded his first triple-double of the season with 17 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists as visiting Miami crushed Detroit.

Udonis Haslem scored a season-high 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting and Chris Bosh added 15 points and nine boards as the Heat snapped a three-game road slide and pulled within two games of the Indiana Pacers in the race for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Chris Andersen scored 13 points off the bench and James Jones scored 10 in a rare start as Dwyane Wade (hamstring) sat out.

Greg Monroe collected 12 points and eight rebounds and Will Bynum scored 12 off the bench for the Pistons, who fell for the 17th time in 21 games. Kyle Singler had 11 points and Andre Drummond chipped in nine points and 14 boards for Detroit.

The Pistons were within 46-42 with less than three minutes left in the first half when Miami took off on an 11-0 burst to spread the lead to 15 points at the break. Jones and Bosh hit back-to-back 3-pointers to push the lead to 20 points less than three minutes into the third and James’ free throw made it 76-49 with 5:47 left in the third.

James handed out the assist on two straight baskets by Bosh that spread the lead to 30 points and hound Haslem for a bucket that made it 87-54 before the Heat settled for a 32-point lead heading into the fourth. James took the final quarter off as Miami coasted to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Wade was joined by G Mario Chalmers (thigh), Greg Oden (rest) and G Ray Allen (illness) on the bench. … Detroit went 3-for-24 from beyond the arc and shot 38 percent from the field overall. … The Heat outrebounded the Pistons 47-36.
