Clippers 106, Bucks 98: Blake Griffin had 27 points and 14 rebounds as host Los Angeles defeated Milwaukee for its 13th victory in 14 games.

Darren Collison scored 15 points and Chris Paul added 14 for the Clippers, who remained 1 1/2 games ahead of the Houston Rockets in the battle for third place in the Western Conference. Jamal Crawford scored 13 points as Los Angeles reached the 50-win mark for only the second time in franchise history.

Ramon Sessions scored a season-high 28 points to go with seven assists for the Bucks, who lost their eighth consecutive game. Jeff Adrien and Zaza Pachulia added 14 points apiece.

The Bucks were within four points with 3:24 remaining before Crawford drained a 3-pointer and Griffin later added four straight Los Angeles points to make it 105-96 with 1:19 remaining. Milwaukee was unable to make a late charge while dropping to 5-31 on the road.

The Clippers held a 57-52 halftime lead and increased the advantage to 10 points midway through the third quarter behind three 3-pointers by Collison. The Bucks cut their deficit to three late in the period before trailing 79-74 entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Griffin has scored 20 or more points in 29 consecutive contests, seven behind the franchise record set by Lloyd Free (1979-80) during the club's San Diego era. … Bucks F Ersan Ilyasova (ankle) was rested in the second contest of a back-to-back. … Los Angeles won a franchise-best 56 games last season and this season’s 31 home wins are one shy of the club mark set in 2012-13.
