Nets 104, Bobcats 99: Deron Williams had 25 points and eight assists as Brooklyn stretched its home winning streak to 10 games.

Joe Johnson scored 20 points and Shaun Livingston added 17 for the Nets, who have claimed 10 of the last 11 meetings. Andray Blatche finished with 13 points off the bench as Brooklyn moved a half-game up on idle Washington for fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

Al Jefferson led five Bobcats in double figures with 18 points and also collected 12 rebounds. Gary Neal contributed 17 points off the bench while Gerald Henderson and Chris Douglas-Roberts had 13 apiece as Charlotte lost its second straight following a four-game winning streak.

Williams scored seven straight points to put Brooklyn up 89-85 midway through the fourth and Paul Pierce hit a 3-pointer with 2:29 to go to make it 97-92. Neal answered with one of his own to make it a two-point game and then nailed another with 17.8 seconds left to cut the deficit to 101-98, but Williams made two free throws and Johnson added another to help the Nets survive.

Brooklyn closed the first half on a 14-4 run to take an eight-point lead into the locker room and carried a five-point advantage into the fourth. Cody Zeller scored twice and Douglas-Roberts nailed a 3-pointer as the Bobcats pulled even with just over nine minutes left and Josh McRoberts' three-point play midway through gave them an 85-82 lead before Williams put the Nets ahead for good.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Nets F Andrei Kirilenko missed all four of his free throws and is 5-for-22 this month. ... Charlotte had a 51-39 advantage on the glass. ... F Mason Plumlee and G Marcus Thornton added 11 points apiece for Brooklyn.
