Hawks 97, Nuggets 92: Paul Millsap led the way with 24 points and 11 rebounds as Atlanta held off visiting Denver to earn its third straight win.

Kyle Korver hit all four of his 3-point attempts en route to 18 points and Pero Antic added 16 for the Hawks, who had dropped 14 of 15 before their current positive string. Jeff Teague collected 15 points and 10 assists while DeMarre Carroll recorded 11 points, 10 rebounds and four steals for Atlanta.

Kenneth Faried scored 25 points for the Nuggets, who battled back from a 21-point deficit to take a lead in the fourth quarter before running out of gas. Wilson Chandler scored 12 points but Ty Lawson was held to a season-low two on 0-of-12 shooting while handing out 11 assists and grabbing nine rebounds for Denver.

The Nuggets began the fourth quarter with a 10-3 run to grab their first lead of the game at 81-80 before going back and forth into the final minute. Antic’s jumper from the left corner gave Atlanta a 93-92 edge with 41 seconds left and Chandler missed a 3-pointer before Teague split a pair of free throws and Korver hit two with 4.4 seconds left to seal it.

The Hawks led 53-37 at the half and pushed the advantage to 21 points after back-to-back baskets opening the third. The Nuggets quickly turned it around from there, ripping off an 18-4 run to bring it back within 62-55 before settling for a 77-71 deficit heading into the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Korver is 14-of-16 from 3-point range over the last four games and has not missed a free throw since Feb. 21. … Lawson’s previous lowest-scoring effort of the season was four points on 1-of-13 shooting at Cleveland on Dec. 4. … The Hawks struggled to 17-of-29 from the free-throw line but the Nuggets were nearly as poor at 16-of-25.
