Warriors 113, Suns 107:
David Lee led the way with 26 points and nine rebounds as Golden State held off visiting Phoenix to earn its fourth straight win.

Klay Thompson added 22 points and Stephen Curry collected 18 points and nine assists for the Warriors, who have won nine of the last 11. Draymond Green contributed 13 points off the bench before fouling out for Golden State.

Gerald Green scored 25 points and Goran Dragic had 24 as the pair combined to go 6-for-8 from beyond the arc for the Suns. Channing Frye added 16 points for Phoenix, which dropped into a tie with the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference.

The Warriors led by 18 points after Thompson’s jumper opening the fourth but the Suns scored the next eight points to get back into it and drew within 109-103 on Dragic’s free throw with 3:40 left. Curry and Dragic traded baskets and Phoenix got as close as 111-107 in the final minute, but the Suns could not take advantage of four straight missed free throws by Golden State before Andre Iguodala finally hit two at the line.

The Suns took a 61-56 lead into the half and were up by four with just under eight minutes left in the third when the Warriors began to make their move. Thompson scored 10 points during a 25-5 burst ending the third that sent Golden State into the final period up 94-78.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Warriors (40-24) pushed three games ahead of the Grizzlies and Suns (36-26). … Curry had an MRI reveal a right quad strain but still played 30 minutes while Thompson, who left Friday’s game with a lower back strain, logged 35 minutes. … Phoenix committed 20 turnovers, leading to 20 points for Golden State.
