Lakers 114, Thunder 110: Jodie Meeks scored 20 of his career-high 42 points in the third quarter as host Los Angeles rebounded from an 18-point second-quarter deficit to stun Oklahoma City.

Meeks was 6-of-11 from 3-point range and hit all 14 of his free throws as the Lakers halted a three-game skid in which they allowed an average of 136 points. Pau Gasol added 20 points and 11 rebounds while Jordan Farmar and Ryan Kelly scored 12 points apiece.

Kevin Durant had 27 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds for his sixth career triple-double for the Thunder, who have lost five of their last eight games. Serge Ibaka contributed 21 points and 15 rebounds while Russell Westbrook had 20 points and eight assists but also committed eight of Oklahoma City’s 17 turnovers.

Meeks’ torrid shooting helped Los Angeles outscore the Thunder 36-19 in the third quarter and the Lakers were up 95-77 after a 3-pointer by Farmar with 9:41 remaining. Derek Fisher hit back-to-back 3-pointers as Oklahoma City used a 10-0 run to pull within 102-97 with 4:37 left and crept within two on Westbrook’s 3-pointer with 1.3 seconds to go before Gasol made two free throws to seal it.

Oklahoma City led 44-26 early in the second quarter but the Lakers rallied to trail 56-51 at the break. The Thunder held a nine-point lead midway through the third quarter before Meeks scored 15 points during a 23-2 run and Los Angeles ended the stanza with an 87-75 lead.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Farmar made three 3-pointers as Los Angeles went 13-of-31 from 3-point range. … The Thunder had a 59-36 rebounding advantage, including a 19-1 edge on the offensive boards. … The Lakers were 25-of-30 from the free-throw line while Oklahoma City was 14-of-21.
