Wizards 104, Jazz 91: Trevor Ariza scored 26 points and Bradley Beal added 22 as host Washington pulled away for its seventh win in eight games.

Marcin Gortat scored 16 points and John Wall tallied 14 points and 10 assists for the Wizards, who snapped a four-game skid against Utah. Drew Gooden chipped in a season-high 12 points off the bench for Washington, which was without forwards Nene (knee), Kevin Seraphin (knee) and Martell Webster (back).

Alec Burks scored 19 points off the bench to lead the Jazz, who have dropped four straight to begin a season-long six-game road trip. Trey Burke scored 14 points and Gordon Hayward added 12.

Utah got within five on several occasions during the fourth quarter but could never close the gap as Washington went 12-for-20 from the field in the final period. Burks' 3-pointer with 4:58 brought the Jazz within 93-85, but Ariza answered with a 3 of his own and the margin didn't dip into single digits the rest of the way.

Washington led 54-44 at halftime and had the lead as large as 15 in the third quarter before allowing the Jazz to finish the period on a 7-0 run. The Wizards shot the ball too well for Utah to make a run, hitting 54.3 percent from the field and going 10-for-10 from the line.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wizards outscored the Jazz 56-36 in the paint and scored 23 points off 13 Utah turnovers. … Washington improved to 24-3 when shooting better than its opponent from the field, including a 13-0 mark at home. … Jazz C Enes Kanter, who put up 24 points in the first meeting this season, was limited to 11 points.
