Bobcats 109, Pacers 87: Al Jefferson erupted for 34 points and host Charlotte held Indiana star Paul George without a field goal in a one-sided win.

Jefferson connected on 16-of-25 attempts to pace the Bobcats, who halted a three-game losing streak. Kemba Walker added 19 points and nine assists while Chris Douglas-Roberts added 12 points in a rare start.

Evan Turner led the way with 22 points for the Pacers, who were held to a season-low eight first-quarter points en route to their second straight defeat. George Hill chipped in with 17 points while George - who came in averaging a team-high 22.7 points per game - managed only two after missing all nine of his shot attempts.

Charlotte dominated at the outset, hitting five straight shots in a 2:05 span to help build a 23-6 advantage. The lead grew to 20 on a pair of Walker free throws near the end of the opening quarter, but the Pacers used their own stout defense to hold the Bobcats to three points in the opening 6:38 of the second frame to claw back to within 47-38 at the break.

The Bobcats strangled the Pacers to start the second half - limiting them to one field goal in the opening 6:44 - while Douglas-Roberts and Walker knocked down 3-pointers to stretch the lead to 18. Charlotte took a 73-57 edge into the fourth, boosted it to 20 on Walker's layup just before the midway point of the final quarter and wasn't threatened again.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Indiana's eight first-quarter points were the fewest allowed by Charlotte in any quarter this season, and tied for the third-fewest in franchise history. ... George had been held to single-digit scoring only once all season going into Wednesday. ... Jefferson has scored at least 30 points in nine of his last 16 games.
