Kings 105, Celtics 98: Rudy Gay scored 22 points and Isaiah Thomas added 21 while matching a career high with 12 assists as host Sacramento knocked off Boston.

DeMarcus Cousins added 13 points as the Kings won for the second time in six games. Ben McLemore tallied 11 points for the Kings, who had seven players score in double digits while shooting 52.1 percent from the field and holding the Celtics to 39.1 percent.

Jeff Green scored 29 points and Kris Humphries added a season-best 19 for the Celtics, who have lost four straight games. Jerryd Bayless scored 16 points and Brandon Bass added 12 for Boston, which rested point guard Rajon Rondo after his recent return from major knee surgery.

The Celtics scored 11 straight points in the final quarter to tie the score at 85. The Kings scored the next five points as part of a 12-4 surge that concluded with a basket by Cousins to make it 97-89 with 2:46 remaining.

Sacramento led by as many as 16 in the second quarter before settling for a 51-43 edge at the break. Boston whittled its deficit to three before the Kings pushed the lead to 10 midway through the quarter and took a 77-70 advantage into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Boston F Gerald Wallace and coach Brad Stevens were ejected with 35.7 seconds and Thomas made all four free throws. … Cousins had seven rebounds as his streak of six straight double-doubles ended. … Celtics F Jared Sullinger sat out with a mild concussion suffered in Friday’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.
