Nene slammed home a game-winning dunk just before the buzzer to cap a career-high 30-point night as host Washington stunned New Orleans.

Nene went 13-of-19 from the field and jammed home the winning dunk with 0.9 seconds left off a feed from John Wall coming out of a timeout as the Wizards won their fourth straight meeting with the Pelicans. Marcin Gortat added 16 points and 10 rebounds and Wall had 10 points and 12 assists.

Anthony Davis racked up 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Pelicans and put his team ahead 93-92 with a pair of free throws with seven seconds left before Nene's heroics. Anthony Morrow was 7-of-8 from the field for 18 points in a reserve role for New Orleans.

The Pelicans grabbed their largest lead of the game at 79-74 with 8:44 left, but Martell Webster converted a four-point play to get the Wizards back within one. The lead changed hands three times in the final 26 seconds with Washington having the last answer.

The largest lead of the first half was a seven-point advantage for Washington, but New Orleans clawed back behind 14 first-half points from Davis and it was tied at 43 at the break. The Wizards used a 9-0 run late in the third quarter to open their biggest lead at 66-58 before Tyreke Evans hit a 3-pointer and Morrow scored five straight points to pull the Pelicans even at 66 entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wizards improved to 11-0 at home when shooting for a higher percentage than their opponent. ... New Orleans PG Brian Roberts struggled to seven points on 2-of-13 shooting and missed a free throw in the first quarter to end a streak of 32 straight dating to Jan. 18. … Washington F Al Harrington played one minute and did not attempt a shot in his first appearance since Nov. 12.
