Lakers 101, Celtics 92: Pau Gasol, Chris Kaman and Jodie Meeks scored 16 points apiece as Los Angeles ended a franchise-record eight-game home losing streak by rallying to beat Boston.

Recent acquisitions Kent Bazemore (15 points) and MarShon Brooks (14) both recorded season-high point totals and fueled a fourth-quarter rally in their Lakers’ debuts. Los Angeles was 16-of-23 from the field in the final quarter and outscored the Celtics 38-18 to end a four-game losing streak and win at home for the first time since Jan. 3.

Jeff Green scored 21 points and Brandon Bass matched his season high of 20 for Boston, which lost its third straight game. Jared Sullinger had 12 points and 12 rebounds and Rajon Rondo had 11 assists but just six points on 2-of-12 shooting.

Brooks scored 10 points in a 15-3 run to start the fourth quarter as Los Angeles rallied from an 11-point deficit to take a 78-77 lead with 8:37 remaining. A 3-pointer by Bazemore and a basket by Kaman gave the Lakers a 92-83 lead with 3:38 to go, and another 3-pointer by Bazemore was followed by Jordan Hill’s putback to make it a 10-point margin with 1:39 left.

The Celtics held a 46-44 halftime lead and clung to a three-point lead after two free throws by Gasol with 6:26 left in the third quarter. Boston responded by scoring 12 of the next 14 points on the way to taking a 74-63 lead into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Lakers SF Nick Young (knee) missed his sixth straight game, while Gasol (groin) returned from a seven-game absence. … Boston was 8-of-24 shooting in the fourth quarter and finished at 39.2 percent from the field and 4-of-22 from 3-point range. … Brooks and Bazemore were acquired from the Golden State Warriors for G Steve Blake prior to Thursday’s trading deadline.
